Trimbakeshwar ancient Shiva Temple is among the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. The majestic Trimbakeshwar temple is famous for its excellent sculpture and architecture. The extraordinary feature of the Trimbakeshwar Jotirlinga is its three faces embodying the Tridev – Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The Lingas are covered by a jewelled crown. The temple is situated at the foothills of the Brahmagiri mountain. The sacred river Godavari originates from Brahmagiri. Trimbakeshwar is one of the four places of Sinhastha Kumbh Mela.
