Nasik is an ancient holy city based on the banks of Godavari River. Nashik is known for its links to the Ramayana. Rama, Laxman, Sita stayed here during exile. Nashik is famous for the ancient temples on the banks of the Godavari and Sinhastha Kumbh Mela. It is one of the four cities that hosts the massive Sinhastha Kumbh Mela once every twelve years. Now Nashik also became Wine Capital of India as large number of grape farms, vineyards & wineries are located in Nashik.
